2024 Seminar on Diagnosis and Treatment for Gastric Cancer with Peritoneal Metastasis was successfully concluded!

The 2024 Seminar on Diagnosis and Treatment for Gastric Cancer with Peritoneal Metastasis, organized by Ruijin Hospital - Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai Institute of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Shanghai Key Laboratory of Gastric Tumor, and Shanghai Medicine and Health Development Foundation was successfully concluded on September 13-15, 2024 in Shanghai.

Overview of the meeting

This conference brought together top experts in the field of gastric cancer in Asia to summarize the groundbreaking researches on gastric cancer in 2023, and to facilitate in-depth discussions leading to the formation of an expert consensus on the critical issue of "Normothermic intraperitoneal and Systemic Treatment for Gastric Cancer with Peritoneal Metastasis", so as to actively advance the research and application of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastric cancer in China and other Asian countries.

The meeting focused on the diagnosis and evaluation of peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer, preventive measures, translational therapy, treatment strategy of CRS combined with HIPEC, immunotherapy for gastric cancer and other hot and difficult issues, fostering an environment for enthusiastic discussions among the participating scholars.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Zhengzang Zhu from Ruijin Hospital- Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, extended his sincere welcome to all the experts and scholars attending this conference and wished this conference a complete success in advance.
