On 27 March, a delegation comprising three eminent Malaysian experts visited the Department of Gastric Surgery of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center for an academic exchange. After a brief tour of the department, they observed two robotic gastric cancer surgeries performed by Prof. Yuan Shuqiang in the operating room (OR). The Malaysian experts were impressed by the advanced surgical techniques and equipment used. They mentioned that robotic surgery is not common in Malaysia due to various reasons.

They could not help but marvel at the convenience and precision of robotic surgery, especially witnessing the efficient teamwork between the OR staff at the Cancer Prevention and Control Centre of Sun Yat-sen University and the impressive surgical skills of Prof. Yuan. During the surgery, Prof. Yuan used the Siderlux® Powered Articulating Endoscopic Linear Cutter from Bluesail Surgical and praised its excellent tissue handling ability.

The Malaysian experts noted that a significant number of female surgeons in Malaysia prefer tools that provide smooth stimulation, convenient operation, and stable stapler formation due to their relatively lower hand strength. They expressed a strong interest in utilizing the Siderlux® Powered Articulating Endoscopic Linear Cutter from Bluesail Surgical.

In addition, during the lunch break, the Malaysian experts and Professor Yuan's team discussed and exchanged views on domestic and international minimally invasive techniques for gastrointestinal tumors, anastomotic methods, and other academic topics, fostering a rich academic atmosphere.
