The 23rd Brazilian Congress of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (BSMBS), held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 25th to 27th October 2023, was successfully concluded. As a prestigious and important academic meeting in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgery in Latin America, BSMBS has successfully held for the past 23 years. The Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SBCBM) has always been committed to bringing together professionals in the field of obesity surgical treatment and metabolic diseases to discuss topics related to their specialty, with the aim of providing high quality healthcare services to patients.
